Secant Medical can create planar, tubular and complex component geometries. The nature of our clients' application dictates the geometry. Generally, non-wovens are planar while woven and knit structures are either planar or tubular, depending on the application. Medical fabric braids are generally tubular. However, any of these can be modified in production to achieve even the most complex geometries and 3D shapes.
Each particular structure has its own physical and mechanical performance benefits that can be leveraged in the final medical device. We can modify literally dozens of variables to meet the performance needs of the design engineer.
