Biomedical Engineering Research and Development
Our Research and Development team of Medical Textile and Mechanical engineers is supported by our staff Scientist, an exceptionally experienced and talented group of Medical Textile Technicians, and our Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineers.
Biomedical Engineering Research and Development Process:
- Secant Medical, establishes a mutual confidential disclosure agreement (CDA), and then review the details of your application with the Secant Medical team.
- Choose one of two possible development paths: either an iterative run-by-run development process, or a comprehensive development program.
- Achieve key development milestones and freeze the design(s).
- Transfer the project from Research and Development to Production: includes verification of all processes from Yarn Prep to Post-Production and Inspection, as well as biocompatibility-related and other required testing.
- Review and approve final specification(s).
- Secant Medical Research and Development officially transfers the project to Production.
